DELTA COUNTY, Colo.- Authorities are now releasing the identity of the man found dead in Delta County.

Calls started coming in just after 8 p.m. Monday, prompting law enforcement to respond to the area of H 38 Road and Highway 50 in Delta.

According to Delta Police Chief Robert Thomas, 27-year-old Chad Koch, of Delta, was found dead outside a home at the northeast corner of the property.

NewsChannel 5 spoke to a man who lives inside that home, who says he witnessed two men fighting near his property right before the body was discovered.

Another witness told NewsChannel 5 they saw the victim riding his bike while being chased by a car before the fight occurred. The witness also said it looked like there was marijuana all over the ground where the fight broke out.

Family members of the victim were arriving at the scene Tuesday morning.

Officials have not officially ruled the death a homicide.

The Delta County Coroner's Office is expected to release more information on the cause and manner of death.
