Authorities Investigating Orchard Mesa Death as a Homicide

MESA COUNTY, Colo.- Authorities say the death of a man in Mesa County has been ruled as a homicide.

On Monday the man's body was found in a wooded area near B 1/2 and 29 3/4 roads in Orchard Mesa.

Investigators working with the Mesa County Coroner's Office have identified the body, but that name has not yet been released.

Officials describe the victim as Hispanic.

The death was ruled a homicide following an autopsy.

Investigators are currently looking for the vehicle the victim was driving before his death.

That vehicle is a 1999 four-door dark blue Jeep Cherokee.
