BRANSON, Mo.- A man familiar to Grand Valley residents is once again in trouble with the law.

Law enforcement action against Bobby Willis continued this week as authorities raided several of his properties in Missouri.

Willis created controversy last year after announcing a plan to organize a Grand Valley country music event that would have been held during the same time as Country Jam.

The event never materialized; since then, Willis has been accused of embezzling millions of dollars by authorities in New Mexico.

KSPR in Missouri is reporting that authorities have raided several properties belonging to Willis in the Ozarks.

The raids are connected to the New Mexico incidents; Willis is accused of running away from business commitments and stealing millions from investors.

At this time, authorities have recovered about $10 million in assets.

Willis is still on the run. He's facing charges of racketeering, fraud, embezzlement and securities fraud.
