Aurora Theater Plans to Reopen

AURORA, Colo.- The owner of the Century 16 theater in Aurora plans to reopen the complex by the start of the new year.

There will, however, be changes made beforehand.

Aurora Mayor Steve Hogan sent a letter to Tim Warner, president of Cinemark, earlier this month.

The letter explained that leaders had publicly asked members of the community for their thoughts on the issue. “We believe that we are hearing, and indeed have heard for some time, a collective desire and wish for the theater to reopen,” Hogan wrote.

Warner responded in a letter dated Sept. 20, saying, “It will be our privilege to reopen the theater.”

There will be changes made to the theater complex before it is open again to the public.

Details also need to be worked out about visitation for families of those killed in the July 20 massacre, as well as plans for any memorials.

If reports are true that they are not a business that supports Colorado or any state's concealed carry then let them stay closed - plenty of other businesses / theaters who do allow and support concealed carry.
