Aurora Shooting Victim Featured in Gun Control Campaign

by KREX News Room
by Meaghan Wallace

DENVER- A man wounded in the Aurora theater shooting is appearing in an ad aimed at getting voters' attention before the first presidential debate.

Stephen Barton was among the 58 people injured in the July 20 attack that also killed 12 people.

In a 30-second spot that cable television viewers in the Denver and Washington, D.C. markets might see this week, Barton urges people to ask themselves during the debates which candidate has a plan to stop gun violence.

The ad says it was paid for by the United Against Illegal Guns Support Fund.

The ad was paid for by "United Against Illegal Guns Support Fund". WHO are they? What do they term as "illegal" guns? Gun Free Zones have always paved the way for shooting sprees by those who do the shooting, why do they do the shootings? simply because they know they can do it without being interrupted.

You can no more stop nutjobs from acting out than you can keep the wind from blowing. Guns are not the problem.... a society that says we MUST accept every form of aberrant behavior is.
