AURORA, Colo.- Recent scams are prompting officials to take extra measures with charities raising money for the Aurora theater shooting victims.

Aurora city officials are asking groups raising money to register with the city to prevent fraud, which will give donors assurance that their money is going to a good cause.

Aurora officials have established an account for the donations and they're working to figure out the best way to help victims and their families with the money.
