GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - The man who was arrested following a shooting and assault incident Feb. 16 has been arrested again on drug charges.

Michael Joseph Renteria Jr. was arrested Thursday after Grand Junction police officers responded to an incident at a home he was in. The arrest affidavit did not specify whether or not Renteria lives there.

During the response, officers say Renteria was found to have more than two grams of suspected methamphetamine on him.

Renteria has been booked into the Mesa County Jail with a $10,500 bond.

He was also arrested Feb. 16 and charged with attempted first degree murder stemming from a shooting on Glen Road in Grand Junction. Court dates in that case are pending.
