WESTMINSTER, Colo.- Westminster police have made an arrest in the abduction and death of 10-year-old Jessica Ridgeway of Westminster.

Investigators arrested Austin Reed Sigg, 17, after getting a tip that led them to a home near Ketner Lake Open Space.

Officials say the home is close to Jessica Ridgeway's school.

Reached by phone, Sigg's mother told the Associated Press that her son turned himself in, but that has not been confirmed by police.

Authorities plan to file charges against the suspect, who is also accused in the attack and attempted abduction of a jogger in late May.

Jefferson County District Attorney Scott Storey commended law enforcement for their swift action; however, Storey was quick to point out that this investigation is far from over.

"Justice for Jessica is a process," Storey said during Wednesday's press conference in Westminster.

Many details are being withheld due to a court order.

Sigg is due in Jefferson County Court Thursday at 8 a.m.
