FORT CARSON, Colo. (AP) - A Fort Carson Army sergeant has been sentenced to 35 years in a military prison after being found guilty of sexual assault charges.

The Gazette reports a military panel Friday found Alberto Silva-Sadder guilty of 21 charges. They include two counts of aggravated sexual assault, three counts of forcible sodomy, two counts of possession of child pornography and a kidnapping charge.

Silva-Sadder was assigned to the post's 10th Combat Support Hospital. Four women came forward with allegations of sexual misconduct dating back to 2009.

Silva-Sadder had pleaded not guilty and defense attorneys had claimed the assaults were acts of consensual sex.
