Armed Robbery at Consign Design in Grand Junction, Suspect at Large

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.- At around 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, officials say a man entered Consign Design at 234 Main St. in Grand Junction, displayed a gun and demanded money from the store owner.

Grand Junction police and Mesa County sheriff's deputies responded.

The owner complied, and the suspect left the store in an unknown direction with an undetermined amount of cash.

No one in the store was injured.

Law enforcement canvassed the area on foot with no luck finding the suspect.

Authorities also say that a second suspect in a vehicle was detained.

The suspect who authorities are still looking for is described as 30-40 years old with black hair and wearing a blue shirt and blue jeans; he also had a backpack.

Anyone with information on this crime is asked to call 911 or 970-242-6707.

Authorities are asking the public to avoid contact with this individual as he is believed to be armed and dangerous.
