Ariel Castro Enters Plea Deal, Avoids Death Penalty
CLEVELAND - The man accused of kidnapping three women and holding them hostage for over a decade will not face the death penalty. Ariel Castro has entered a guilty plea which included charges for aggravated murder, rape and kidnapping. It's part of a plea deal that will send him to prison for the rest of his life, but save his life. The Cleveland man is accused of holding three women captive in his home for over a decade. During that time period it is also believed that Castro beat one of this victims so that she would miscarry her unborn children. Castro had been scheduled for trial next month on a 977-count indictment.
