Ann Romney's Plane Makes Emergency Landing in Colorado

by KREX News Room

DENVER- The Republican presidential campaign says Ann Romney's plane was forced to make an emergency landing in Colorado on Friday, but everyone on board is OK.

A press secretary tweeted that the plane carrying Mrs. Romney landed due to smoke in the cabin.

According to officials at Denver International Airport, the Challenger jet set down at the airport shortly before 2:30 p.m.

The aircraft was reportedly en route from Omaha to Los Angeles.

Campaign officials say Mrs. Romney spoke with her husband immediately after the incident, and said that everything was fine.

Mitt Romney is scheduled to appear in Denver on Sunday.
