GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - As many companies struggle to avoid reducing their work force in this tough economy, one local business is seeing expansion in all areas.
Brady Trucking says they've seen five to six percent growth over the past few months.
The company employs around 135 drivers nationwide. Their Grand Junction office has 40 to 45 full time employees, which will dramatically increase as the company continues to expand in the valley.
"[We plan to] double the number of employees, which will double the size of the tax those folks generate working for us and they spend in the economy. We think it would be big for us and we think it would be good for the community here," said Chuck Johnson, the company's vice president and general manager.
Brady Trucking started out of Vernal, UT and has since expanded to Grand Junction, Farmington, NM, Rock Springs, WY and Williston, ND. They also have more locations planned for Colorado.
The company's primary work is hauling frac sand for the oil and gas industry.
