Amber Alert Issued for Missing 2-Year-Old from Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Colorado Springs police are asking for the public's help finding a missing 2-year-old girl.

Police say Essence Lovato has been missing for a day and a half.

She was last seen with 28-year-old Tonia Shetina who had permission to take the girl to her grandfather's house. Essence never showed up and police are calling the woman a person of interest in the girl's disappearance.

The alert asking for the public's help was issued Wednesday morning by the Colorado Bureau of Investigation.

Essence was last seen wearing a short-sleeved pink and black striped shirt, black leggings, and a gray cheetah jacket.

Shetina may be driving a green Honda Accord with a loud muffler.
