GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.- A local group is continuing an annual tradition in making sure children in need have a memorable holiday season.

Aktion Club, a group for people with disabilities, has raised $1,000 to spend on toys that they will eventually donate to the Harley Owners Group Toy Run and the Salvation Army.

"It's just such a heartwarming event for me because a lot of these guys didn't have such great childhoods themselves, so to have them be really excited to help out other children who probably are experiencing the same kind of things that they went through in their youth is really special to them," said Marilee Langfitt of Mesa Developmental Services.

This is the 10th year the group has donated presents.

They say usually they're about to fill six shopping carts with toys that they'll send to children in need.
