GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.- An airborne truck just missed a Grand Junction motel Thursday night.

Witnesses say they saw a white truck racing another car before the crash.

They say the truck accelerated at the light on 23rd Street and North Avenue while heading eastbound; then, it crossed the median and smashed into the Grand Valley Transit bus stop across the street.

That's when the truck went airborne and landed just a few feet away from the El Palomino Motel.

The driver had minor injuries, and the passenger was transported to the hospital with unknown injuries.

Authorities say they do not suspect alcohol or drugs to be contributing factors.
