MESA COUNTY, Colo.- An exhibit showcasing more than 1,000 devices to assist the elderly and people with disabilities is on display at the Mesa County Fairgrounds.

The exhibit features a kitchen, bedroom, living room, bathroom, office and recreation room.

Products featured assist people with mild or severe motor, communication, vision, hearing or cognitive disabilities.

The goal is to educate the public about the benefits of these technologies and to help make the lives of the elderly and disabled easier.

Denice Roberts, assistant technology specialist with the University of Colorado, said, "We have computers you can talk to when you type, we have computers that will read to you. We have a special bed, gardening, adapted gardening, we have toys galore."

The exhibit opened on Thursday and was on display from 9 a.m to 6 p.m. It will also be open Friday from 9 a.m to 6 p.m and on Saturday from 9 a.m to 4 p.m.

It is on display at the Mesa County Fairgrounds' community building and is free to the public.
