9-Year-Old Boy Crashes Car Into Tree

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.- A 9-year-old boy went for a joy ride while his parents were gone, and crashed into a tree Saturday afternoon.

Colorado State Patrol officials say the boy decided to go for a drive because he was bored.

CSP reports the 9 year old took some fast turns in his neighborhood when he lost control and careened into a tree.

CSP officials say it was either the mother or grandmother's 2002 Hyundai Sedan the boy was driving.

Mesa County will decide if the guardians will be charged.

As for the crash, no charges have been filed, but the incident is still under investigation.

Officials say there were no injuries and the boy was alone in the vehicle.

I want to say I am thankfull nobody was hurt. But the boys mother was home, she is 34 weeks pregnant and having contractions, she was trying to lay down and relax when her son got bored... He is never home alone and even more so never allowed to even go out and start the car on his own much less drive... The media should get the real story before they go reportting things...
