High Voter Turnout in Colorado

DENVER- New numbers show Coloradans are already voicing their stance on November's elections.

According to Colorado Secretary of State Scott Gessler, more than 325,000 Coloradans have already cast ballots.

Early voting started Monday in Colorado and mail ballots were sent out Oct. 15.

Colorado has about 3.6 million active registered voters.

That means the people who have voted so far make up about 8.9 percent of the state's qualified voters.

Republicans have slightly outnumber Democrats in voting so far.

Republicans have cast 126,539 ballots, while Democrats have cast more than 120,965.

Unaffiliated voters have cast roughly 75,030 ballots.
