The nonprofit organization helps educate youth in arrow space, helps with community services and emergency services.

Amy Jordan, director of administration for the GJ Regional Airport, says it's the first for many, to actually be out on a runway. "This is the first one here that we've actually had runners on the runway. Other airports have done it but usually pedestrians aren't allowed on runways, it's for aircraft only, there won't be any aircraft operations while the runners are out there, it will be completely safe.

All proceeds with go to the Thunder Mountain Composite. Jordan said she hopes to raise around $500-$1,000 dollars.
