22 Year Old Arrested on Federal Drug and Firearms Violations

EAGLE COUNTY, Colo.- According to the Eagle County Sheriff's Office, Michael Aguayo, 22, was driving in Eagle County in December 2012, when deputies caught him throwing two socks out of the window. Those socks were filled with 3 pounds of methamphetamine.

Deputies also found a loaded semi-automatic handgun and Aguayo under the influence of meth.

Aguayo was arrested on several charges including Possession of Methamphetamine (a schedule 1 controlled substance) with intent to sell (a class 2 felony); Possession of a Weapon by a Previously Convicted Felon (a class 6 felony), and Driving Under the Influence of Drugs.

Aguayo's local charges were dismissed and he was released to the US Marshal Service on March 6, for federal prosecution in Denver US District Court.
