GRAND JUNCTION,Colo. On Monday, The Mesa County Commissioners approved an $88,900,00 road study for both safety and to learn more about potential development on 22 Road.
Officials say the study will look at improving 22 Road, through K-Street.
Mesa County Commissioners have hopes of building two other diverging diamond intersections on both J Road and K Road. They want to improve these areas to attract more business development.
"Road improvements will be part of the long term plan if business wants to locate there. The road will be in place and will tie in really well with the new double diamond intersection,” said Mesa County Commissioner John Justman.
The Mesa County Commissioners say the project was funded from the county’s savings for capital improvements from the 2013 budget.
