GRAND JUNCTION,Colo. On Saturday it was a perfect day to be outside and also taste wines from across the valley.
The 22nd annual Colorado Mountain Winefest is back and bigger than ever. The wine festival includes wine tasting and wine education seminars.
Officials say they have more than 300 types of wine in the park. They have also done something new to focus on specific wines coming only from Colorado.
“We’ve done something really exciting this year. We wanted to highlight all of the Colorado wineries that are bringing all of the wine that is made 75 percent or more by Colorado grapes. So, it’s a good way to highlight our grape growers, our Colorado agriculture and let people know we have going on as far as Colorado grape growing is concerned,"said Executive Director Cassidee Shull.
Officials also say they are expecting to have a total of 6,000 people by the end of the festival.
The Winefest began on Friday and ends on Sunday.
