2012: Highest Suicide Number in Recent Years

MESA COUNTY, Colo.- The Mesa County Coroner's Office releases its 2012 suicide report with some startling findings.

According to Kim Hollingshead, the Chief Deputy Coroner, suicides in 2012 was the highest in recent memory. The number increased from 44 suicides in 2011, to 47 in 2012.

Another trend reported was that several of the suicide victims had previously been through treatment programs in Grand Junction.

Also, family and friends of victims had heard suicidal thoughts from their loved ones, but they didn't know what to do.

3 times the national average rate. Perhaps Dillard could volunteer to solve the problem for the Peoples Republic of Mesa County, he seems to have all the answers.

But...but, hope, change, economic recovery, green shovel ready jobs. LOL. You guys are too much. There is a reason people do this, and it's not because the propaganda endlessly spouted by the media is believed. No matter how often it's repeated, the lies don't work because the people are living it. I wonder if there might be some real hope if the media told truths so the actual problems could be addressed?
