2 Pounds of Meth Found in Vehicle During Traffic Stop

MESA COUNTY, Colo. - A man was arrested Tuesday after deputies found two pounds of methamphetamine in a vehicle he was driving.

Mesa County Sheriff's deputies contacted 39-year-old Carlos Perez-Romero during a routine traffic stop off the Mack exit of Interstate 70.

During a search of the truck and horse trailer Perez-Romero had been driving, a drug canine found two pounds of suspected methamphetamine throughout the truck and trailer.

Perez-Romero was booked into the Mesa County Jail on drug distribution charges.
