GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - Two men have been arrested after barricading themselves inside a Grand Junction home for several hours.

Nathan Kennedy, 43, of Grand Junction was arrested and released on a summons for prohibited use of a weapon and obstructing officers.

Aaron Kennedy, 41, of Grand Junction was arrested and booked into jail for second degree assault, felony menacing, reckless endangerment, prohibited use of a weapon and obstructing officers.

The arresting documents and search warrants for this case have been filed under seal. Police are not releasing any more information, including booking photos, at this time.

The Grand Junction Police Department responded to a report of shots fired in an alley off Bunting and Glenwood Sunday around 5 a.m. Authorities say they believe there was a party in the 700 block of Bunting Avenue, and the suspect was told to leave.

The suspect allegedly returned a time later with at least one other person, who was possibly armed with a shotgun.

Police say the victim was hit with the butt of the gun and the suspect shot two rounds from an unidentified firearm. One round hit a fence and debris from the shot hit the victim, who was not hospitalized from the incident.

Shortly after noon on Sunday, two males voluntarily exited the house. They have been detained for questioning although no charges have been made.

Who Cares, there are always jobs open at the GJPD, get on down there and apply. KREX might hire you too, then you can be an expert at two jobs, an expert crime scene investigator and a Noble prize winning journalist. It's easy, even a caveman can do it.

Say there "Who Cares" People living nearby probably care about how many weapons are involved, especially if any of them are explosive, you know what I mean?

"nor how many weapons are involved." Idiots, who cares? 1 or 1,000 big deal. They are shooting at the cops, the cops will get them. How many weapons, what kind, color etc are as relevant as their choice of underwear. (I guess anyone except a "journalist" could figure that out.)

This story is NOT based on any facts. Its all conjecture. I know the alleged suspect, and the issues. I thought news was news not a drama filled opinion.
