2 Gun Bills Killed, 5 Remain

by KREX News Room
by Cori Coffin

DENVER - Republicans blocked two gun bills heard on the Senate floor Friday. One would have banned conceal-carry weapons on college campuses and the other would have made gun manufacturers and sellers liable for damages caused by assault-style weapons.

Five democratic-led gun bills remain, including limits to how many rounds a gun can hold, universal background checks and paying a fee for them, in-person training for conceal-carry classes and banning domestic violence offenders from owning firearms.

Let us also remember that police carry a weapon to protect them selves, as we the people also have the written right to protect ourselves,

I see, Disgusted. It really feels that way. I guess the only other thing I'd say is, once they gain the power they move from tolerant to authoritarian. We are seeing this on a daily basis with Obama, and with the state government here. It's frankly depressing.

For a primer on the modern liberal, or more accurately the progressive mindset all one needs to do is look at the great tyrants of history. The "flavor of the month" causes are really just an excuse to complain and advance an anti-American pro-Marxist agenda. The only way the progressive can succeed is through deception and political trickery. When a progressive ideas are debated in a legitimate open forum they always fail as they are hideous ideas to begin with. The only way a progressive can sneak through the Marxist agenda is incrementally.

You're absolutely right. You don't understand the liberal mindset.

I really don't understand the liberal mindset here. Look we give liberals their pot, gay unions, and other flavor of the month causes. All conservatives are asking for here, is to leave our constitutional rights alone. Liberals always like to state they are so giving and tolerant, but I'm not seeing that, as a matter of fact they are militant and anything but tolerant. So is it tolerant until they have the power? Then once they do it's time to crush the other side. Truly sad.

That should read "making gun shop owners and manufacturers LIABLE". Sorry.

Scott said on Sunday, Mar 10 at 12:22 PM

Regardless of my actual feelings on the subject, I am what most here would consider a liberal. I am, however, glad the bill making gun shop owners and manufacturers died. That was a bad bill from the get-go. I am not avidly pro-gun, but even I could see the problems with that one.

Wheezzer, you have proven multiple times that you don't know what you are talking about. How many times are you going to need to keep proving you don't know what you are talking about?

For my part you, the ones crying foul, are the real terrorist, with your multiple magazine, cop killer weapons with multiple fire a second. If you 2nd Amendment Rights "hot shots" are as trained and diciplined as you constantly rave, you only need ONE shot for self protection. Oh that wouldn't wipe out enough people. That's spelled existing Government, Revolution.

Well said, sir. Those folks are supposed to work for US not the Party. Contrary to their own ideas, election to public office does not increase one's IQ by 50 points or one's height by 6 inches and their jokes do not automatically get funnier. They need to find other employment....let's help 'em.

Bill said on Sunday, Mar 10 at 8:29 AM

Regardless of the outcome of these bills, please remember these anti 2nd Amendment legislators at the next election. These people were elected to represent the people but they are totally ignoring the will of the majority. They need to lose their jobs.

They only shot down two of the "Proposed" laws? Every one of those proposals were from fear directed from the WH through "intellectuals", of the media. I have always paid for a background check myself. No one else ever paid it for me. As to how many rounds a gun can hold, all of them, can only hold one in the chamber. I do agree that a person should train in person for CC. If the domestic violence passes, they will redefine DV to cover far more people than it ever would in real life. This gun grab is nothing more than a power grab in disquise, it is coming from the executive branch of our federal government. They are using Colorado to see how much they can get away with in the rest of the country. The Colo. dems should be ashamed for allowing themselves to be used by those with a much darker side to their agenda.
