GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.- Eric Janusz, the former Grand Junction police officer and firefighter accused of sexual assault, took to the stand today.

The 43-year-old is accused of four counts of sexual assault on a child in a position of trust and four counts of sexual assault on a child in a position of trust with a pattern of abuse.

Janusz spent hours today answering questions and denying several claims made by his alleged victim.

The alleged victim testified about a week ago, stating Janusz performed sexual acts with her when she was sixteen on Mesa State College property back in the summer of 2000.

When asked if he ever had sexual contact with the victim when she was sixteen, Janusz responded, "Absolutely not."

Janusz said that he met the alleged victim as he was searching for her brother, who was reported missing in July of 2000.

The alleged victim claimed Janusz flirted with her and provided her with his personal phone number.

Janusz denied both of those accusations today as well.

He did admit to having a sexual relationship with the same girl in 2004, then again in 2011.
