Students Help Keep 13th Day of Christmas Alive

by KREX News Room
by Amanda Brandeis

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. The 13th Day of Christmas organization has been spreading Christmas cheer since 2007 and continued the tradition this year.

The organization was started by a local teenager. She has since left Grand Junction to attend college, however, the National Honor Society at Palisade High School took over the fundraising efforts this year.

For several days the teens posted at Herbergers, collecting money for kids around the world in need of the bare necessities.

This year the students raised $700. The goal was to fundraise enough money to purchase one goat, which they well surpassed.
