An early morning firefight puts the small town of Watertown, Massachusetts in lockdown as a nationwide manhunt kicks off for Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, one of the men suspected to be behind the Boston bombings.
NewsChannel 5 spoke to Alexis Robertson, a Watertown resident living a few blocks away from the mayhem. With state, federal and more than 20 local authorities telling residents to stay inside.
"We had to bear crawl," Watertown resident Alexis Robertson said. "They were saying do not even stand up in your house, do not be near any windows or doors."
Robertson says three explosions shook up her neighborhood.
"That second explosion, it was like every cop in Watertown was just racing through the city," Robertson said.
Jason Miller, another resident placed on lockdown says swarms of authorities filled the streets placing enough fear to keep him up from sleeping.
"I've just been watching it straight through the night so I actually didn't sleep last night," Miller said. "We just wait to be done with this horrible experience!"
