FRUITA, Colo.- With the weather being warm one day and cold the next, it can be a time of confusion when it comes to your closet and to your thermostat.

If you've already turned on your evaporative coolers, not realizing the possibility of an unpredictable frost, don't worry.

"This isn't something to be majorly concerned with" said Ken Tweedy, owner of Dragon Heating and Air Conditioning in Fruita.

Tweedy says there are, however, precautionary measures you may want to follow.

It's recommended you turn off your swamp cooler in freezing temperatures and cover it with a tarp or heavy plastic.
