GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. At 3:58 Tuesday morning, Airibella Moots was welcomed into the world, becoming the first baby born for 2013 in Grand Junction.

Airibella was born a few days early and is five pounds 12 ounces.

When she goes home she'll have three big sisters to watch over her, one who actually coined the name Airibella for her.

Both mom and dad are doing well and say the best part about 1013 so far is their new baby girl.

Dusty Moots, the proud father, said, "She didn't get the epidural, and she did a really good job and she kept her cool. So I was really proud of her for toughing that out and bringing this little princess, my fourth little princess, into the world."

The family was very grateful for the staff and service at St. Mary's. The nurses gave Airibella some special gifts in honor of being the first baby born this year.
