GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. St. Mary's Hospital has received Healthgrades Distinguished Hospital Award. A recognition placing it in the top five percent of hospitals in the nation.

St. Mary's is one of the 262 hospitals that received the award.

The report says these hospitals stand out among the rest for overall excellence of care.

They also showed superior performance in caring for patients in the Medicare population.
