GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. On Thanksgiving, residents of the Mesa View Independent Senior Living Community came together for a Thanksgiving Feast.

The living center invited the general public to the delicious turkey dinner. The meal had a big turnout, with more than a hundred attending to enjoy the meal.

Matt Hendricks, a co-manager at Mesa View, said, "Especially this generation, when you don't have your family around. Your memories of Thanksgiving dinners with your family, and the smells and the tastes and the sounds, they miss that. You know, when they don't have that family anymore."

Officials say this is an annual tradition for the Mesa View retirement community.
