Restaurant Joins Movement to Help Feed Kids
GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colo. A Glenwood Springs restaurant is doing its part to help feed children in the United States. Russo's Pizza is taking part in the No Kid Hungry fundraiser. This month $5 of every pizza purchased on Tuesdays and Wednesdays will go towards the organization. This is the first time the restaurant is helping the cause, which focuses on a problem that impacts one in five children in the United States. Owner of the restaurant, Frank Schiavone, said, "It's hard for me to ignore children being hungry, especially in this country. It's hard enough to do it anywhere in the world, but when it happens in this country, I just feel a little extra special towards that." The fundraiser runs throughout the month of September.
