Lets see. We subsidize crops to artificially raise the prices of food so that (already wealthy) farmers can make more money. Then we subsidize food stamps so that people can still afford these artificially raised food prices. This is insane!!! End farm subsidies so that more people can afford food without food stamps. Result: win-win for everyone -- including farmers, which will have to compete on the free market like everyone else (but that's a good thing).....

If the crops need subsidies then maybe we don't need those crops. Let the market work and stop wasting money trying to support the whole d a m n country.
