Community Hospital Receives 5 Star Award

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. Community Hospital has received a 5 Star award for overall orthopedic care. They say they've received the award for the past nine years.

The honor was awarded to the hospital by Healthgrades, the leading provider of information to help consumers make an informed decision about a physician or hospital.

Healthgrades evaluated the performance of approximately 4,500 hospitals nationwide, across nearly 30 of the most common condition and procedures. Healthgrades bases its objective measures solely on clinical performance.

Chief medical officer, Don Nicolay, said, "This speaks not only to the surgeons that care for the patients and operate on them, but also for all the medical staff we have that takes such good care of these patients, and we really have great patients. We love the patients that we have, to take care of."

Among other notable awards, Community Hospital was ranked number three in Colorado for Overall Orthopedic Services in 2013.

Hospital officials are also proud to say they are the lowest cost facility for overall orthopedic care in the area.

I am impressed and amazed that Community Hospital won this award in spite of the drag of the local Healthcare/Marxism complex on the quality of care in this valley. Good job.
