Colo. Breaking Records for Firearm Background Checks

DENVER State authorities say requests for background checks for firearm purchases in Colorado continue to come in at an unprecedented rate after the Connecticut elementary school shooting.

The Denver Post reports that CBI is getting about 3,000 requests per day. Background checks are taking up to 68 hours to process compared to minutes.

The state has received more than 8,800 background check requests in the last week.

Colorado set a single-day record for checks with about 4,200 on the day of the Connecticut shooting.

This article is a bit misleading. It should read "State authorities say requests for background checks for firearm purchases in Colorado continue to come in at an unprecedented rate after blatent communists unfit for public office state they want to usurp The Second Amendment."

As of this afternoon, it's over 12,000 and the gun store is quoting 2 weeks wait. New Mexico: 45 minutes. Kansas: 20 Minutes. Something is very wrong with Colorado government.
