Cars From Around the Country Impress Crowds in GJ

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.-Cars from around the country revved up their engines for the 11th Annual Fuoco Car Show in downtown Grand Junction.

Over 150 cars made their presence at the show, some of those included classic, muscle and antique cars.

Throughout the day cars had several opportunities to win awards. One of those was the public's top choice. The Grand Junction Police Department also got involved, picking the car most likely to get a speeding ticket!

Kathy Dirks, the directing and communications director of the downtown partnership, said, "When we redid the street we lost a little street space and so we thought that might decrease our numbers, but actually now they're parking on the side streets, so actually, it just continues to get better!"

Officials say they had more cars this year's show compared to last year.

A portion of the money brought in by car registration fees goes to benefit Hospice and Palliative Care of Western Colorado.
