Car Club Organizes Show for Veterans

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.- On Saturday Grand Valley veterans were treated to a car show organized by the Wild West Falcons.

The show was held in the parking lot of the Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Falcon club members chose the location because it provided convenient access for patients.

Around 15 Ford Falcons and Mustangs were on display.

Organizers of the event and president of the Wild West Falcons, Ted Boothroyd, said, "They smiled, they talked to us a little bit. We have them some buttons, and they put them on their coats, and to us that was what it was for, to get them to come see some cars that they can't drive anymore, but they still love like we do."

This was the first car show the Falcons put on for the veterans, and they hope to make it a tradition in the future.
