Trial Date Set for Man Accused of Shooting at a Party

A jury trial date has now been set for the man accused of opening fire at a Fruitvale party and injuring five people. 20-year-old Joshua Anton is facing 18 counts, including numerous first degree assault charges.

He was arrested after he allegedly shot five people at a home in Fruitvale back in December.

Details of what happened that night remain limited, because the arrest affidavit remains sealed. However, neighbors told News Channel 5 they heard a fight just before the gun shots were fired.

All five victims survived the shooting.

Anton will be headed to a jury trial on November 17th.
