The FBI is investigating a threat that prompted a Denver flight to divert to Salt Lake City. It happened Thursday morning on a United Airlines flight bound for San Francisco.

Officials say a flight attendant found a note in the galley and gave it to the pilot, who found it threatening enough to divert the plane. It was earlier reported that the note contained a bomb threat, but now authorities are saying that no reference to a bomb was made.

A spokeswoman for Salt Lake City International Airport says the passengers and crew were taken to the international terminal, where the FBI was planning to interview passengers. The plane was taken away from the airport terminals and searched on a runway, where a German Shepherd was sniffing luggage on the tarmac.

None of the 168 passengers or six crew members were hurt. The FBI is trying to determine the origin of the note.
