Five years ago School District 51 had no idea how many of their students were getting off the bus without a home.
Their first census shocked the district. 500 kids were considered homeless. By the end of this school year, the district expects to reach record numbers.
School District 51’s Reach Program identifies students who don’t have stable or adequate housing.
If you’d like to sign up a student or find out more information, contact the Reach advocates at 254-5491.
