A dynasty is starting to grow in Orchard Mesa.
The Orchard Mesa Major Boys All-Stars won the Colorado State Championship on Wednesday afternoon for a third straight season, knocking off Academy, 10-4. Now, they’re off to Texas for the regional tournament in Waco and a chance to play in the Little League World Series. But, the boys need your help.
The club is trying to secure funds to help with travel to Waco and related expenses with the tournament.
“We’re in need of funding for this trip. These boys have worked hard for three years and we’re asking the community to step up and help us out,” said Pete Steves, Manager Orchard Mesa All-Stars.
“This trip is the most important trip out of of all of them. This is what we’ve been working for for three years and we’re very excited for this tournament,” added Kolby Steves, a 12-year-old on the roster.
“We’ve been out by Wal-Mart selling snow cones and asking for donations,” explained Gage Fransen, a 11-year-old All-Star.
“We’re really hoping that the community will help us out, and donate the money to get us to Texas,” said the younger Steves.
If you would like to help out the All-Stars, please use the contact information below to reach the team.
