The Belly Burner promises to do wonders. This ever-so-stylish belt brings heat sensors to your core, making you burn even more calories during your workout than ever before.
"Just wrap up and slim down!" the ad says.
So it's crunch time, literally, and Rebecca Felix from Crossroads
Fitness agrees to put it to the test. But not without a few reservations.
"There's no batteries or anything, it's just a belt?" the asks.
"It's obviously made for a bigger person, and if you are really that
big, this is the last thing you need," said Felix.
So it's a one size fits all, and did we mention the looks you'll get
when sporting this piece?
"Hi, welcome to Crossroads, have a good workout!"
Felix crunches, and squats, and sprints. Oh, and lifts--how
could we almost forget that one?
But when the weights are put back and the cool down begins, Felix gives it a final score. "I think the claims are outrageous I think it's a scam," said Felix.
And she also rates it a one.
And that's not the size you will be fitting into after using this
product. "$19.95 could be better spent on just about anything else," says Felix.
One more word of caution from our expert: this device does not take
the place of a good old hard workout at the gym. "The amount of money you spend on a belt could be better spent on getting a personal trainer for a session," explains Felix.
Even with the all the protest, I still had to give the belly burner a
try for myself. "You know Rebecca, I can feel the pounds coming off of me as we speak," I said.
"Yeah, I'm just mad I didn't think of this product," said Rebecca.
