Open It! New Product Worth All The Fuss?

Opening packages can be a pain, and may even send you on an emergency trip to the dentist. But there's a new product that might change all that, called (believe it or not) Open It!

We needed to test it out and see how it worked, so we took it to a place that has a few things that always need opening: the new Hobby Lobby in Grand Junction.

"There's a lot of things in plastic packaging that could make it a lot easier to open," said Doug Deweber, the store manager at Hobby Lobby.

So we cut through some packaging, and even more packaging, and then a little more.

"These packages are generally pretty difficult to open, and that made it a lot easier to open," said Doug Deweber.

This product has other uses too, like a utility knife, a mini screwdriver, and a bottle opener. We tried it on everything, and it passed with flying colors.

"It's just a little added feature so you can have all your tools in one spot," said Deweber.

So from one to five: "I would rate it a 3½ for ease of use. The only thing is I wished it had a little bit bigger bite on it to take things apart," he said.

So next time you're looking for the newest jack of all trades, this product may be a cut above the rest.
