Friday, September 21st through Monday, September 24th

Prehistoric Lithic Description and Analysis is a twenty-hour class presented by Assistant State Archaeologist Kevin Black. The lithics course introduces individuals to the technology of stone tool manufacture, the identification of tool classes, and basic lithic analysis. The class is one of thirteen in the Program for Avocational Archaeological Certification (PAAC). The PAAC is a joint program of the Colorado Archaeological Society and the Office of the State Archaeologist of Colorado. It is locally sponsored by the Chipeta Chapter of the Colorado Archaeological Society.

The class will meet Friday evening, will go all day Saturday and Sunday and will conclude Monday evening. The cost is $12. To register or for more information contact Connee Moffatt at 243-8066.
