Courtney Griffin
Reporter
Courtney joined NewsChannel 5 in January 2012 as a reporter. She comes from sunny Arizona where she graduated with a B.A. in Journalism, with a minor in Communication from the University of Arizona. She has been anxious to get back to Colorado ever since her family moved from Denver when she was younger.
Courtney anchored and reported for Arizona Cat’s Eye, a UA news magazine show on KUAT-PBS. She also reported for UATV, the University’s student-run television program.
Throughout her time in college she interned at KVOA Channel 4, KMSB Fox Channel 11, and KGUN Channel 9 in Tucson, AZ. Courtney landed her first job in the newsroom during college as a News Desk Assistant at the NBC affiliate KVOA Channel 4. She went on to become an Assistant Producer at Fox Channel 11 where she learned the ins and outs of putting together a newscast.
She is excited to learn all about the Western Slope, and is happy to be in beautiful Colorado. She can now fully enjoy the outdoors by hiking, running and playing with her puppy that she brought all the way from Tucson!
Courtney would love to hear from you if you have any story ideas, or just want to say hello.
