Morning and Noon Anchor

Meaghan Wallace joins NewsChannel 5 as the weekday Morning and Noon anchor and producer. She is dedicated to bringing you the most consistent and reliable source of news. You may even catch her learning a new work out or cooking a dish during one of her many live interviews.

In her free time, Meaghan enjoys exploring the Western Slope and all the beauty it has to offer. She loves hiking the Monument and wine tasting in Palisade. But it's not all play for Meaghan, she's also very involved in the community. She was one of the main coordinators in the Girl Scouts' biggest fundraiser of the year - Cocktails and Cookie Creations. She helped the organization raise $17,000 in one evening. Meaghan also enjoys emceeing events for non-profit organizations and volunteers at an after-school reading program with School District 51.

Meaghan graduated with a B.A. in Journalism from the University of Arizona, where she was awarded the annual “Excellence in Broadcast Journalism Award” by the School of Journalism.

Meaghan anchored and produced at UA’s Arizona Cats Eye news magazine show and was also an executive board member, producer and anchor at UATV, the University’s student-run television station.

She interned at three news stations throughout college. She spent a year at KOLD News 13 in Tucson, Ariz., and two separate summers at KRON 4 in San Francisco, Calif. and KPTV Fox 12 in Portland, Oregon.

Meaghan was born in the Bay Area and raised in Lake Oswego, Oregon.
