Grand Junction, Colo.
Traffic is stalled for more than an hour after a driver runs a red a light, crashing into two cars, and then rolling his own car. The crash happened at just after 7:30 a.m. at the intersection of 12th street and Orchard Avenue in Grand Junction.
Witnesses tell News Channel 5 that a driver in a Ford Explorer ran the red light, slamming into a vehicle in the middle of the intersection, then hit the side of another car, causing the SUV to roll onto its side. All three cars had extensive damage, but all drivers and passengers escaped without injuries.
Many witnesses reported seeing several baseballs shooting into the air as the car rolled over, hitting and damaging many of the nearby cars.
“The gentleman in the Explorer has to be a coach or some sort of baseball guy; he had two big buckets of baseballs that just went everywhere, and there was a hundred baseballs flying through the air,” said Jed Greco, who was involved in the car crash.
Both the Grand Junction Police and Fire Departments were at the scene. The crash is still under investigation.

Before anyone jumps to any negative conclusions, the driver of the explorer is my brother who is a devoted husband, father and grandfather who recently retired.
A few hours after this accident doctors discovered that he had a brain tumor which they are going to remove tomorrow.
Your prayers and wishes for his full and speedy recovery would be greatly appreciated!
